Baby Lupah!!!!!!

Last week my fiance ordered me my first Invicta. Keep in mind, I'm not a huge watch person but this looked so cute, not to mention it had a special price for the hour.

Yesterday I received my Baby Lupah (love the name!) and am absolutely crazy about it. The color is a perfect shade of pale pink which will match anything and isn't too over the top...plus it's girly :) The face is mother of pearl-normally I'd hate that but it fits nicely with the color...almost has a blush tone to it. The strap is ceramic which is nice because it has a wet shine to it, not to mention, can take a beating. What really impressed me was the fact that they even made the back of the watch look attractive with the embossed label.

This watch is just so adorable...I haven't stopped looking at it all morning. I'm so excited that he was sweet enough to get this for me, plus,  I know this is a quality timepiece.

Cotton Candy Nails!!!

Well, at least that's what they remind me of.

This beautiful weather made me want to go for fun colors so I decided to use Wet n Wild's Megalast in Sugar Coat and their Speed Dry in Teal or No Teal (which was part of their Fauna collection).

I had so much fun with my fingers that I decided to do the same for my toes as well (They need lovin' too!)

It's pedicure time ladies!!!!!

Goin' Vintage In The Office

Please note: this picture in no way does my outfit justice.

I rarely buy clothes for myself. In fact, most of the items in my closet are at least five years old. Over the years I've realized that I like to play around a lot with pieces that can double as something else. For example, I'll wear a dress that would normally be considered as inappropriate and pair it with a sweater or jacket to make it look like a top or skirt.

That is exactly what I did for this outfit.

I started with a strapless dress I bought years ago back in middle school ($12 at Charlotte Russe) and added a black button down shirt and boots. I love being able to mix in old pieces like this because it keeps my wardrobe from getting boring plus, I get to wear items I normally wouldn't be able to in the workplace.

NOTD: Gray's Anatomy

This week I decided to go with Wet n Wild's Fast Dry polish in Gray's Anatomy.

It applied a little more sheer than expected but three coats later, it looks great. What I love about it is how depending on the angle/light, it comes off as different colors. So far, my nails have turned silver, purple, green, and gold. This is by far the coolest polish I own!

Nail Ritz Review

I had originally seen this around the holidays on QVC and was pretty excited when I received it as a gift for my birthday.

This kit contains ten "fashion" colors that can either be applied as a polish or squeezed out of a little needle for art designs.

I've given these a shot for the past few weeks and am sorry to say that while the idea is great, the product is not. Upon applying, the polishes seemed almost separated and had no pigmentation at all. In fact, there were a few that I literally had to take off and start all over. None of them went on evenly both from the brush and squeeze tip, not to mention, they chipped almost immediately after drying.

I'm wondering if these problems happened partially because they were kept in a closet for a couple months but honestly, I'm not much of a fan. I prefer my solid colors over nail art any day.

New LE Wet n Wild Collection

I recently discovered a new set from Wet n Wild called Flora and Fauna. The name itself is adorable and I think it's a great value for $4.99.

While both sets look really pretty, Fauna pulled me more. The shadows alone come in a trio of a shimmery cream, shimmery teal, and shimmery purple. The rest of the kit includes the Pearlescent Pink (light shimmery pink) blush, Teal or No Teal (shimmery teal) nail polish, and A Glass Confusion (shimmery light pink, almost nude) gloss. These colors are not only perfect for Spring but would be a wonderful gift for someone who has not tried any of the W&W products.

.

I tried this set for the first time yesterday and found the shadows to be not only fun but also (surprisingly) wearable in my office. I absolutely love the blush-it's one of my favorites! As of right now there is no opinion on the gloss...while it is pretty, it seemed to have more color in the tube than on my lips. Next time I'm going to use this on top of lipstick. I haven't tried the polish yet but I do like the color a lot.

So far I haven't seen these anywhere else other than Pathmark, although, I've heard a few people say they're being carried in Fred Meyer stores. If you can find them I strongly recommend picking one (or two) up.

LG Sand and Sea Palette

The first time I saw this was when Laura Geller was on QVC a couple weeks ago and I wasn't sure whether I liked it or not. It was the blue shade that really threw me off and, honestly, scared me just a little. Of course, I broke down and ordered it. I am so thrilled that I did!

The left side contains a really pretty shimmery pink highlighter and the right side has shadows that are a shimmery light tan, shimmer pinky gold, and (gorgeous!) shimmery teal.
At first I didn't think it would be something that was easy to pull off but it truly is quite wearable. In fact, ever since I received this palette I've played around to see how many different looks I can create.

I'll be going away in a couple weeks and it looks like this is the only shadow that I'll be taking.

I could be wrong but I think this is only being sold through QVC at the moment so if you're interested you can read more about it HERE.

Favorite "Sick" Product

Well, it took a few months but all the germs in my office have caught up to me and now I'm sick :(
The only good thing to come out of this horrendous cold is the inspiration for this post.

Towards the holiday season I picked up a bottle of Philosophy's Candy Cane shower gel and with the first sniff I knew this would be perfect to use whenever I got sick. That day has come and I've been using it like it's going out of style.

It smells just like a package of Altoids and there's a little Menthol so it gives a nice cooling sensation. I find myself using it more that I'm sick than when I'm not.
Between the scent and steam from the shower, it gives off a wonderful boost.

I think next year, I'll be picking up a couple more bottles of this stuff.

March BOTM: B.Makowski

Every month I switch bags....after all, the last thing I want is to make the others feel unwanted ;)

Anyway...I thought this would be a fun new thread to start, Bag of The Month.
For March I'm carrying my B. Makowsky Double Handle Zip Top Satchel in Tan.
This is my first of his bags and I absolutely love it. The bag is so nice and is super soft. I've actually gotten a few compliments on it already.

I want to see how this holds up for the month but it seems like it's pretty durable.
