First Impressions/Unboxing: Philosophy Beach Party Trio

The only time I order from QVC is when an item is exclusive or there happens to be a good deal...in this case it was the latter of the two.

Last week there was a OTO Value for Philosophy's Beach Party Island Colada trio, which I probably wouldn't think too much about, however, it was too good of a price to pass up. Normally a trio costs around $60 once tax and shipping and handling is added but this only came to $38 with free shipping.

~What's Included~
24oz Beach Party Island Colada 3in1 gel
24oz Beach Party Island Colada lotion
Beach Party Island Colada lipgloss
...and a couple of Divine samples

~My Opinion~
This smells exactly like a Pina Colada...there's a sweet scent of pineapple and a touch of vanilla and coconut added in. Simply amazing!!!!! It's such a nice scent that it literally made my mouth water...it's that good! Even my fiance' liked it!

A lot of people mentioned how it "takes them to the beach" and I have to admit that this does reach me on a personal level as well. It reminded me of sitting on the balcony of our hotel in Wildwood with my mom drinking virgin Pina Coladas together.

You can learn more about this trio HERE

Baby Lupah!!!!!!

Last week my fiance ordered me my first Invicta. Keep in mind, I'm not a huge watch person but this looked so cute, not to mention it had a special price for the hour.

Yesterday I received my Baby Lupah (love the name!) and am absolutely crazy about it. The color is a perfect shade of pale pink which will match anything and isn't too over the top...plus it's girly :) The face is mother of pearl-normally I'd hate that but it fits nicely with the color...almost has a blush tone to it. The strap is ceramic which is nice because it has a wet shine to it, not to mention, can take a beating. What really impressed me was the fact that they even made the back of the watch look attractive with the embossed label.

This watch is just so adorable...I haven't stopped looking at it all morning. I'm so excited that he was sweet enough to get this for me, plus,  I know this is a quality timepiece.

New LE Wet n Wild Collection

I recently discovered a new set from Wet n Wild called Flora and Fauna. The name itself is adorable and I think it's a great value for $4.99.

While both sets look really pretty, Fauna pulled me more. The shadows alone come in a trio of a shimmery cream, shimmery teal, and shimmery purple. The rest of the kit includes the Pearlescent Pink (light shimmery pink) blush, Teal or No Teal (shimmery teal) nail polish, and A Glass Confusion (shimmery light pink, almost nude) gloss. These colors are not only perfect for Spring but would be a wonderful gift for someone who has not tried any of the W&W products.

.

I tried this set for the first time yesterday and found the shadows to be not only fun but also (surprisingly) wearable in my office. I absolutely love the blush-it's one of my favorites! As of right now there is no opinion on the gloss...while it is pretty, it seemed to have more color in the tube than on my lips. Next time I'm going to use this on top of lipstick. I haven't tried the polish yet but I do like the color a lot.

So far I haven't seen these anywhere else other than Pathmark, although, I've heard a few people say they're being carried in Fred Meyer stores. If you can find them I strongly recommend picking one (or two) up.

My First JewelMint

JewelMint is a "personalized" jewelry service. Basically, once an account is created you take a style quiz. Afterwards, new pieces are recommended every month. Each piece is $29.99 and thanks to a coworker, I was able to try this out for only $10!
I've heard both good and bad about this site from various gurus so I had no idea what to expect.

My bracelets came in about two days after they shipped which was a shock considering they were sent via USPS. The envelope they came in was so cute and chic looking! The pieces themselves were packaged in velvet pouch in their own boxes, along with a little pieces of paper explaining about the jewelry.

I really like both bracelets but, unfortunately, what I read in the bad reviews seem true. These feel like they're cheaply made and certainly not like they're worth $30. From the start I could tell I'd have to be careful for fear of tarnishing them or knocking out the jewels.

Nonetheless, I think I'll be cancelling my account with this company.

First Impressions: BE Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser

I received a sample of this product and finally tried it out last night. The benefits from the scrub are supposed to be similar to that of their foundation-if that is the case I think that'll be the perfect one-two punch. ...you can find the rest of the product information HERE

The powder has a nice, fresh scent and the consistency reminds me of cream of wheat. I used it as a mask and upon applying I really wasn't too sure about it because it didn't feel like anything but applying water to my face. I left it on for maybe 20 minutes and was actually pretty pleased with the results. I didn't expect a dramatic change to my skin since this was my first time using the product, however, my face felt as smooth as when I use my Philosophy Microdelivery Peel and did look a little brighter. The only downside I found was that my face felt a little tight.

This is definitely a product that I want to keep looking into. I would like to use this again as a mask and morning cleanser before I go shopping later this month. As much as I love my Philosophy (and I do!) I'm interested to see what these products can do to help my skin.
